This morning was full of creativity as I spent time with the talented Katie from Katie Walden Illustration.
Katie creates mixed-media illustrations inspired by the natural world.
Katie’s not just an illustrator. She beautifully paints words onto life’s canvas, and it was wonderful to see how her business has creatively blossomed since launching.
Today’s 1-1 was on the art of branding. We discussed the secrets behind Katie’s captivating tone, strategies to engage with her target audience, and the art of alt tags – those hidden gems that make visuals speak volumes.
We strategised ways to help maximise her impact across social media, and, of course, we navigated the delicate balance of pricing, ensuring her value always shines through while remaining accessible.
The best part of our branding session? I now have my own charming line drawing herb illustration, adding a touch of Katie’s artistry to my kitchen.
Today’s realisation? An illustrator (that’s Katie), a copywriter and a PR specialist (that’s me) are a perfect combination when it comes to creativity and crafting compelling narratives and communication strategies.
