Connecting the Dots

Constellations on the wallpaper at a photo shoot, and a useful analogy. Connections are everywhere, but none of them happen by accident.

Connecting the dots... From the wonders of the universe at Jodrell Bank to the historic charm of Thicket Priory, York. Sophie Seddon of Sophie Seddon PR, captured by Roth Read Photography, with a Jodrell Bank umbrella—because great stories (and great PR) are all about seeing the bigger picture.

Strategy, Creativity & Stepping into the Frame

I have always loved constellations. There is something about the way the stars align; each one is part of a bigger picture, even if you cannot always see it at first.

It’s much like strategic communications and project management, which involve instinctively understanding how the pieces fit together.

Every decision impacts the bigger picture, and when the right people collaborate under clear guidance, the results can be extraordinary.

I was reminded of this on a recent photo shoot at the breathtaking Thicket Priory in York, where Perrin and Lincoln of Roth Read Photography captured some absolute magic.

The venue’s wallpaper – constellations, no less – felt like a sign. A reminder that connections are everything and everywhere, but they don’t happen by accident. Someone needs to plan, align, and make them work together.

Leading Strategic Communications & Digital Marketing Projects

For me, it is never just about words. It’s about steering the storytelling process, ensuring every element – brand positioning, strategic messaging, content, visuals, PR, and digital marketing – works together to achieve impact.

Businesses often have great ideas, but without someone to lead and coordinate the process, things can feel disjointed.

Not everyone instinctively connects the dots.

Bringing Together the Right People for the Right Results

One of the biggest strengths of project management is knowing who to bring in and when. A great outcome isn’t just about ideas; it’s about execution.

We bring in the right people, set the strategy, and make sure it’s delivered smoothly.

We work closely with trusted specialists to ensure projects aren’t just well-planned – they’re delivered to the highest standard and on time.

Katie Walden Illustration has brought to life our workshops with hand-drawn visual storytelling.

We now have stunning digital assets that can be repurposed across multiple online channels and print, reinforcing key messages in a visually engaging way.

Claire at Cow Mad Designs (CMD) understands branding inside out. She also understands me – that I love being behind the scenes, that I’d rather focus on others. But she also knows when to push me to step forward.

Social Progress built my website, and we’re continuing to develop and refine service options as my business grows. Their ongoing support is helping me shape and adapt my offerings, ensuring my website grows alongside my business.

Pushing new boundaries with the right support behind me. It’s an ongoing process, but with the right team, growth always continues.

Stepping into the Frame (Literally & Professionally)

At Thicket Priory, Claire encouraged me to put on the hat (yes, the country-style one). I hesitated. Being in front of the camera isn’t my comfort zone, but I trusted her. And I’m so glad I did.

This photo is a moment of progression, of stepping up, of owning my ability.

It reflects where I am now. No longer just the person behind the scenes but the one leading projects, guiding teams, and bringing strategy.

The Next Chapter

Communication never stops. It evolves, adapts, and when done strategically, it drives significant business growth and results.

So, if you are looking for someone to pull together the right creatives, align your messaging, and manage the entire process from strategy to delivery, I would like to hear from you.

When the right pieces connect, the results speak for themselves.

Together, tea in hand, we can join the dots, and if there’s a slice of lemon drizzle, that’s just the icing on the cake.
