19 April 2024

Another whirlwind week of connections and reconnections.

Signed off on a business name for a new client, worked on their strapline, and felt inspired to create the strategic tone of voice copy for their new website.

Had an inspiring meetup at Creative North with AD:VENTURE and Flying Duck Lab Studio in Hebden Bridge alongside the talented Katie Walden Illustration. Surrounding myself with like-minded creatives always sparks new ideas.

I met up with MY Network at The Media Centre. I reminisced with former journalists who were more like family than colleagues. Their support and wisdom shaped my early days, and now it’s my turn to pay it forward.

Linked up with like-minded former journalists at Huddersfield Hub.

Huge congratulations to Sam for winning my prize in the Honley Business Association Easter Egg Hunt.

Then caught up with my first FIL Club and the Honley Business Association (HBA) crew.

I ended the week on a high note at SAM Networking, where I crossed paths with a photographer I knew from my days in the newsroom.

Exciting new projects are on the horizon. And in the background, I am a mum (also a pet mum) and wife. Give it up to the strength of the one-man bands.

Every day creates a new challenge, but I am forever grateful for the support around me that helps to make work life happen.
