Change and development are constants both in my professional and personal life.

From the evolution of my business to the milestones my daughters are reaching, it’s all about growth and new opportunities.

Since I founded Sophie Seddon PR, my work has transformed significantly. Over time I’ve expanded the scope of services I offer and diversified my client base.

This week alone is a testament to that growth and the developing nature of my work.

Press Release Success

I had the pleasure of writing a press release for a local charity aiming to broaden its impact in Huddersfield, Halifax and Wakefield. Within an hour of submission, it was featured in the Halifax Courier.

This swift pickup not only validates the hard work but also sets a promising precedent for its reach in other target areas.

Strategic Communications for Funding

I’m in the process of onboarding a new client who is seeking funding through a local business support programme.

Assisting with their strategic communications to support them in achieving their goals is rewarding and I’m optimistic about positive outcomes.

Creative Copywriting

My ongoing projects include creating web copy for a talented corporate artist and a high end window and door supplier.

Each project requires a unique approach to highlight their strengths and appeal to their respective markets.

Pitching and Mentoring

This week I pitched for an upmarket furniture manufacturer, and I began my first mentoring session with an innovative international AI company through the Thrive programme. I am looking forward to seeing how things develop.

Collaborations and Strategy Meetings

I enjoyed a strategy meeting with Social Progress as they onboarded an industrial electrician client. I will be working with them to provide strategic copywriting, search engine optimisation (SEO), and expanding their national reach through blog posts and case studies.

Another meeting revolved around supporting Honley Business Association’s future strategies.

I have also been asked to assist with PR and committee support for a charity lunch in Huddersfield later this year.

This event is attended by hundreds of people and raises thousands of pounds for worthwhile local causes.

It’s an honour to be asked to contribute to such a significant community initiative and to help amplify its impact.

Personal Developments

On the home front, my daughters are also experiencing significant milestones and changes.

My eldest daughter, Ellie has just completed her last GCSE mocks. As she looks ahead to her final year in high school and considers her college options, it’s a time of intense preparation and contemplation about her future. Her dedication and resilience are inspiring.

Gracie, my youngest daughter, is making the big leap to high school. Her transition day meant my daughters were in the same school for the first time.

This change is filled with excitement and new opportunities. Watching Gracie adapt to a bigger school environment and embrace the challenges ahead is a proud moment for any parent and reminds me of the support that we all need.

Embracing Change

Change, whether in business or family life, often comes with its share of uncertainties and challenges.

However, it also brings opportunities for growth, learning and innovation.

This week has been about embracing change and how it can lead to remarkable developments and exciting opportunities.

As I continue to develop personally and professionally and support my daughters through their significant milestones with Andy, I am reminded of the importance of embracing change, adaptability, strategic planning, and a positive mindset.
