This week marked an exciting milestone as I ‘kicked off’ my first strategic copywriting project with two talented commercial artists, with whom I recently helped secure business funding.

Much like England in the Euros, there’s always room for improvement and re-evaluating where your business is heading.

We focused on refining tone of voice guidelines, a company strapline, and identifying crucial keywords and key messages.

Understanding my client’s target audience is pivotal to ensuring my creative direction hits the right note.

I’m eager to start strategic planning and sharing my ideas as I align them with my client’s vision.

I’m thrilled to report that four new enquiries promise to keep me on my toes. These include press releases for a creative company and a charity, PR services for an upcoming charity event, and strategic tone of voice copy for a luxury furniture design company requiring a new website and company brochure.

I look forward to seeing how these projects unfold and the value they will bring to clients.

Last week’s hard work paid off as the award submission I wrote for an architectural company was signed off. This led to the opportunity to refresh a case study on their website, bringing a new lease of life to their online portfolio. It’s always satisfying to see a project come full circle and provide added value to a client.

An amazing day at Social Progress unfolded as I co-hosted an in-person workshop with Janet Bebb on ‘Developing Content’. We covered integrating compelling copy within websites, press releases, case studies and blogs, emphasising how they synergise with visuals such as images, videos and infographics.

The positive feedback we received was heartening, and we’re already planning more workshops to continue sharing our expertise.

This week also highlighted the wonderful synergies between my professional and personal life.

From horse racing to my eldest daughter’s mock exams and my youngest daughter’s sports day, all of us strive to give our best. Balancing work and family time reminds me of the importance of showing up and giving your best in all areas.

Special thanks to my husband Andy for taking the girls to the races after school, allowing me to decompress and get organised.

As I wrap up this week, I’m filled with anticipation for the projects and opportunities ahead. Each task, meeting, and workshop adds a new layer of growth and learning, making the journey more fulfilling. As always, thank you for joining me.
