Enjoyed writing this one for Lynva Russell, River Holme Connections founder and Chair of Trustees.
Lynva is not normally one for the limelight but this was an award that called for a media response and I was only too happy to help when she asked me this morning.
When Lynva received her British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to the environment in the King’s first Birthday Honours, true to her generous spirit she dedicated her award to the team she works with.
The birthday honours list always generates local, regional and national interest. It puts people who work so hard in our communities at the heart of it, and in doing so marks extraordinary contributions and service.
