What happens when you gather a group of PR specialists, photographers and media pros in a shooting range? Competition, of course.

Just like crafting key messages and tone of voice, it was all about who could nail it first.

A huge thanks to Claire Strachan for organising an unforgettable away day at Hazlewood Castle.

In the middle of getting lost in the woods (bluebells and wild garlic restored my sanity), we tackled riddles about socks (yes, my geography is so bad that I set us on the wrong trail), and mastered air rifle shooting (slightly concerned about how much I enjoyed that).

As for Last Bomb Standing? Let’s say we should leave that to the professionals.

Now back to business in a short week. Recorded my first podcast, welcomed an exciting potential client onboard, and scored a press release in the Yorkshire Post – all while joining the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce.

Explored Business Boost funding and wrapped up an online Help to Grow Management Essentials course.

Exciting collaborations with fellow PR and copywriters are underway, and I am fine-tuning a client’s website tone of voice and copy for their perfect client.

Let’s see what next week brings but for now, enjoy the sunshine and the weekend.

I’m off to nurse a touch of sunburn and three bruises.
