Viral TikTok Sensation Crazy Aunty Ann in Wired Cafe, Honley, with members of Honley Business Association. They are all dressed in their dressing gowns.

26 April 2024

Enjoyed a blast from my journalism past at last week’s SAM Networking. Thanks to Bruce Fitzgerald Photography for capturing these professional moments.

Busy week refining tone of voice, engaging website copy, and securing bookings for an upcoming content workshop.

Thrilled to be selected for running Ad:Venture workshops. It’s my turn to pay it forward.

Another press release signed off for a local charity.

Midweek took an unexpected turn with a visit to A&E with my youngest daughter. Her reaction to a medical term … let’s just say maybe it’s time for an update.

Enjoyed spending time with my eldest daughter doing what she loves best, but a pony hack on foot is hard. I dropped my phone as she shouted, “hurry up”. I felt more ‘hacked off’ than on a hack – another English language quirk and nothing to do with being a former ‘hack’ (a somewhat derogatory term for a journalist and absolutely nothing to do with ‘phone hacking’).

Ended the week washing my dressing gown (aka the cats’ bed) and giving it a cat-pluck trim in my car (those who know, know).

And what better way to cap off another busy week than fuelling ourselves with good coffee and cake and dancing with viral sensation Crazy Aunty Ann … in our dressing gowns … in the middle of Honley.

It’s easy to see why Ann works with young people to improve their mental health. She filled us with belly-aching laughter and left smiles on our faces that we will carry into the weekend.

Look familiar? Double trouble Janet Bebb – Social Progress.

Words Cast Spells
